"Young London, Permissive Paradise",- Frank Habicht

Above:The East End 1966
For me the sixties style was best captured through the lens of Frank Habicht..... With the exception of Brian Duffy /David Bailey. I’m still debating with myself who’s better?!?!?..... Frank was out on the streets from Chelsea to the East End. From Mick Jagger and the rolling stones to the gorgeous Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg.... His image of the girl at the rolling stones concert in 1969 has been plastered on my bedroom door since secondary school. I can’t tell you how many times I have looked at that image for inspiration. xxx

The work of Richard Bram-No models, No set ups. Just real life

I was trying to some up Richard’s work but I think he says it better... “I’m a Street Photographer. Most of my photographs originate there, in the random chaos of the street, in the ambient weirdness of everyday life.”
“I expose some film nearly every day, and always carry a camera: anything could occur. It keeps me alert and awake to the world around me, even while simply on my way somewhere on an unrelated errand. These images are my personal visual diary: they are not staged or created artificially. Reality is strange enough..”( Quote Richard Bram)

Influence

I have no idea why but I have really been inspired by lots of fashion/ general photography recently!!...More than usual. My all time  favourites are the work from Henri Lartigue, Lee Miller, Tim Walker and Sarah Moon to name a few..... But there are so many great lesser known photographers out there , it’s really hard to pin point just one. XxX

Winter Sunshine

Today we took my five year old niece Paige, to play in the park, she made star shapes in the snow, played on the swings , giggled and smiled all the time there. She had such fun! We then went home and made rise crispy chocolate cakes....It’s funny how children can turn around someone’s bad day with just their smile .

Brigitte Bardot Fashion

Bardot is someone I constantly take inspiration from whilst dressing. I even have a Bardot style mood board (A2) on my wall. My favourite piece of her style is the ballet shoe because like her I prefer flats or barefoot.
Bardot’s hairstyle was known for big hair, messy and long .For her makeup, it was all about the eyes!! With black eye liner, sometimes both top and bottom of the lids and tips on the corner of the eyes. Her fashion style consisted of feminine dresses that fitted at the waist or had a wide belt. Other key elements of her fashion was: black tights, leotards, tight fitted clothes, black hair band worn over messy hair, a black bow in the hair, skinny jeans, cute cardigans, simple day dresses and trench coat to name a few. She also made gingham popular again when she married Jacques Charrier, she wore a gingham pink knee length dress which was unconventional. As gingham was considered to be more like a cheap table throw fabric/print then “in” fashion.
“A photograph can be an instant of life captured for eternity that will never cease looking back at you.” Brigitte Bardot
“Every age can be enchanting, provided you live within it.”Brigitte Bardot
“I absolutely loathe luxury. It is the one thing I cannot stand.” Brigitte Bardot
“I am 30, but there are things about me that are still 15”. Brigitte Bardot
“I am really not interested in the cinema. I loathed it when I started six years ago, and I don't enjoy it even now.” Brigitte Bardot
“I can't do the same thing every night, the same gestures... it's like putting on dirty panties every day.” Brigitte Bardot

“I have been very happy, very rich, very beautiful, much adulated, very famous and very unhappy.” Brigitte Bardot
“I have no private life at all. I am a hunted woman. I can't take a step without being questioned and surrounded.”Brigitte Bardot
